Cloud Gardens a relaxing game about overgrowing the ruins at the end of the world launches into Early Access today
Indie game dev Noio (Kingdom & New Lands) is pleased to announce today Cloud Gardens, a relaxing little game about overgrowing the ruins at the end of the world, is launching into Early Access on Steam (PC & MAC) .
In Cloud Gardens players must harness the power of nature to overgrow lo-fi scenes of urban decay and manufactured landscapes. By planting the right seeds in the right places, and learning how to make them thrive, they’re able to create small overgrown dioramas of brutalism and beauty, salvaging and repurposing hundreds of discarded objects to create unique structures for nature to reclaim.
Over the last weeks we've been polishing and refining the game for Early Access, and seeing some of the creations by the alpha testers has been a lot of fun already. We hope that the game succeeds in gently guiding players towards enjoying their own creativity. We're also excited for getting a lot of feedback and improving the game based on that, perhaps exploring some freshly gained inspiration.”by Thomas van den Berg, Creator of Cloud Gardens
Players can dive into a relaxing sandbox mode with no goals, where they are simply left to delight in their own creativity and create beautiful scenes, or take on a “campaign” of six chapters, where the task is to strike a balance between nature and the manufactured by covering each scene with salvaged objects and lush vegetation.
